1. Scope
This policy applies to SaTiN's public website, project enquiries, client accounts and subscription checkout. KC Billing Suite may also publish a product-specific privacy notice where its business data processing differs from the marketing website.
2. Information we collect
We may collect contact details, company information, project enquiries, account identifiers, authentication/security events, subscription selections, payment references and support communications. We do not ask customers to provide eSewa passwords, Khalti MPINs/OTPs, online-banking passwords or card credentials to SaTiN.
3. Why we use information
- Respond to enquiries and provide requested services.
- Create and secure client accounts.
- Prepare quotes, process verified payments and administer subscriptions.
- Detect abuse, investigate security events and maintain audit records.
- Meet accounting, tax, contractual and legal obligations.
- Improve site reliability and product usability using appropriately limited operational data.
4. Legal and regulatory context
SaTiN's privacy program is designed for review against Nepal's Privacy Act, 2075 and the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063, together with other applicable Nepal laws and contractual requirements. International client work may require additional jurisdiction-specific terms before processing begins.
5. Payment providers
When eSewa or Khalti is selected, the customer is redirected to the provider's own hosted payment environment. SaTiN receives transaction identifiers/status information required to verify the payment. Bank transfers are performed through the customer's own bank; SaTiN stores the submitted transfer reference and verification outcome.
6. Sharing
Information may be shared with service providers that operate infrastructure, email, monitoring, backups or payments only where required to deliver the service and subject to appropriate access controls. SaTiN does not sell personal information.
7. Security
Controls in SaTiN's current architecture include HTTPS, private service networks, server-side validation, secure HttpOnly cookies, MFA support, rate limiting, least-privilege database roles, audit logging, dependency scanning, backups and monitoring. No system can promise zero risk; SaTiN maintains controls intended to reduce and respond to risk.
8. Retention
Information is retained only as long as needed for service delivery, security, contractual, accounting/tax and legal purposes. Retention periods are set according to service delivery, security, accounting/tax and legal requirements and will be maintained in SaTiN's operational retention register.
9. Your requests
